Scan Mode (Darkroom Dubs / Surface / Theory)
Scan Mode started his DJ career in 1998 playing at clubs and festivals across Spain and Europe in venues like Tresor (Berlin), The Loft @ Razzmatazz (Barcelona) and Eden (Ibiza) among many others. A resident DJ in Camarote (Valladolid) and Cubic Club (Salamanca), Scan Mode dj sets and productions are strongly influenced by the sound of Detroit and Chicago. Since 2008, he has released on some of the most prolific techno and house labels such as Ben Sims ‘Theory Recordings’, H-Foundation’s ‘Surface’ and more recently Silicone Soul’s ‘Darkroom Dubs’ just to name a few. His releases have been charted and played by Richie Hawtin, Oxia, Gregor Tresher, Simon Garcia, Mathias Tanzmann, Pleasurekraft and many others. His works has also been given the remix treatment by Ben Sims, Tapesh, Alexkid and Jay Tripwire. In 2013, Scan Mode along with long time dj friend Alvaro Sanchez came together to run the Raw Rootz alliance and Record label. Under the ‘Raw Rootz’ moniker, they produce house music using the building blocks of the legendary Roland TR-808 and TR-909 drum machines alongside other analog machines creating authentic floor shaking rhythms.
