minimalArchiv uses music to communicate with passion and resonance, working over many years from bases in London, Hong Kong and latterly the North of England.

Standing on the fruitful interface between house and techno, and between the dancefloor and the headphone, minimalArchiv produces electronic soul music that comes from the heart, and reflects his own journey with a spirit of gratitude.

Tracks are often marked by an immersive quality, seeking a sound “a million levels deep” and a lush, evolving soundscape. Beats may be explicit, or a matter of inner rhythms and micro-funk within less obviously dancefloor orientated material.

A diversity of influences are present below the surface, including Detroit techno, 70s German electronic music, the flamenco of Andalucia, and the jazz experimentation of ECM. Releases are carefully crafted and relatively infrequent, but have gathered support from many electronic music aficionados including legendary UK electronic music DJ Colin Dale.
