Mbulelo (Transmat / Get Physical)
Mbulelo is the latest electronic music prodigy to be given a global platform on the Transmat imprint, making him not only one of the youngest but selected few to be placed in the ranks of the greats like Rhythim is Rhythim, Octave One, Scan 7 and Carl Craig.
Mbulelo’s full name Mbulelo Mehlomakhulu, born in 1995 grew up listening mainly to House Music. From the age of nine (9) he realized his extraordinary passion for music and thus decided to pursue a career of his own. In 2009, he got involved in music production, however being self-taught the music producer struggled in trying to realise his ideas and sounds but kept pushing nevertheless. The years of hard work paid off and Mbulelo later signed his first solo EP in 2018 with the legendary Transmat Records. The EP instantly served as a breakthrough for the young South African producer and instantly got recognition around the globe. Mbulelo’s recognition of his art and passion for music is trading at an excellent pace, with his goals to reach the highest heights and give the world what he believes he lives for. Indeed it is no mistake that he is labeled as one of South African’s Deep Tech prodigy!
