Eddie Niguel - Guardians Of The Sacred Visions EP
To celebrate the labels 2nd Anniversary, label head Eddie Niguel delivers two dancefloor cuts guaranteed to lift your spirits up. Inspired by his recent gigs at new emerging clubs like The Council and Kilo Lounge, the Singaporean decided to put together a release as a tribute to the movers & shakers of the electronic music scene in his hometown. The DJ/Producer who has spent over more than two decades holding down club residencies and headlining at parties around the City is knowledgeably aware and grounded in the fact that while the local stars and curators often shared the limelight or defined eras, the people who help shaped them are equally as important too, if not more.
Affectionately referred to as "Guardians Of The Sacred Visions” (in reference to the movers and shakers of the scene), both tracks on this release pays direct homage to the producer's love of classic Chicago and Detroit house. The opener, “4 The People” have been tried and tested by Detroit's very own DJ Bone, who unofficially premiered it during his DJ Mag 'live' showcase many months back to quite a buzz online. “The Ritual” was also sent out to a select few DJs during its demo phase as well. It's infectious hook and motor city spirit has found a place in the hearts of house music authorities Prins Thomas, Jus-Ed, DJ QU, Kiko Navarro and Fabrice Lig to name just a few.
Raw, chunky and uplifting on the A side and deep, powerful and lush on the other, both tracks offers the positive feel good vibe that we have all come to love about house music, it's also primed for the dancefloor - both are certified club weapons. Accompanying the release is a stunning interpretation of “The Ritual” by one of Toronto’s finest and Transmat Records hit maker, Greg Gow.
